Welcome to St. Kenelm Lodge

A Home to Freemasonry
in Stourbridge

St. Kenelm Lodge number 6082 is a Freemasons Lodge in the Province of Worcestershire. Previously meeting at the Talbot Hotel in Stourbridge, we now regularly meet at the James S Webb Freemasonry Centre.

For us at St. Kenelm and for all Freemasons, there are four important values that help define their path through life: Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Service. In today’s world filled with uncertainty, these principles ring as true now as they have at any point in the organisation’s history.

Membership is open to men over 18 from all backgrounds and our aim is to empower members to be the best they can be – it’s about building character, supporting members as individuals and helping them make a positive contribution to society.

Freemasonry provides a structure for members to come together under these common goals, enabling people to make new friendships, develop themselves and make valuable contributions to charitable causes.

Mission Statement

We are a unique members’ organisation founded on the principles of freemasonry which have thrived for over 300 years.

We have no political or religious affiliations and welcome members from all walks of life. Our mission is through bonds of fellowship, to create a unique environment for men to thrive and reach their potential, becoming the very best version of themselves.

Our Values

Integrity

Rather than working on buildings like the masons of old, today’s Freemasons focus on building themselves as people of integrity, and membership provides the structure to help achieve that goal.

Friendship

One of the oldest social organisations in the world, Freemasonry is not defined by an ideology. It is open to people from all religions and political persuasions and provides the common foundation for friendships between members, many of which will last for life.

Respect

With a membership of more than 150,000 people drawn from communities across the UK, Freemasonry brings people together irrespective of their race, religion or any other perceived differences that can divide us as a society.

Service

Whether participating in events, fundraising for a charitable cause or volunteering for public or community organisations, service is at the very heart of Freemasonry. Our members make valuable contributions by donating time, resources and skills. Please click HERE to see some of the charitable work we have done.

What is Freemasonry?

Origins of Freemasonry

Take a look at these videos which should give you some context behind our organisation and what becoming a freemason could mean for you. Despite popular misconceptions we are not a secret society, but a society with secrets.

Charity Work

Charity work is a very important part of Freemasonry. The charitable work by Freemasons across the Globe aims to build better lives by encouraging opportunity, promoting independence and improving wellbeing for people across society. You may not know this, but the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is one of the largest charitable organisations in the country, and in the past five years it has awarded around £90 million to good causes.

More recently, Freemasons charities allocated over £3.6 million to support those affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic and have supported overseas disasters and those suffering from the Grenfell Tower Disaster.  Closer to home in Stourbridge, St. Kenelm have funded many charitable donations to chosen charities, and supported local people achieve their dreams.
